On the morning of July 23, the historic Aizu Tajima Gion Festival continued its vibrant celebration with a solemn bridal procession, followed by one of the festival’s most powerful and spiritual events—the Mikoshi Togyo (神輿渡御), or portable shrine procession.

After departing from Shinmei Shrine, the mikoshi (portable shrine) was carried through the streets of Tajima by devoted participants dressed in traditional attire. The procession symbolizes the divine presence of the local deity visiting the community, offering blessings and protection.
