Cherry Blossoms – Across Nihonmatsu

As the cherry blossom front continues to move north, Nihonmatsu City in Fukushima Prefecture is now beautifully bathed in shades of pink. While the iconic Kasumigajo Castle is well known as a prime viewing spot, the entire city is alive with the beauty of cherry blossoms.

Many lesser-known yet breathtaking trees are also in full bloom, offering a more peaceful and authentic hanami experience. These include the graceful weeping cherry tree at Dairin-ji Temple, the sacred resting place of the former Nihonmatsu lords, the charming blossoms of the Saen-no-Sakura, the impressive Manto-zakura, and the elegant weeping cherry at Entō-ji Temple.
